Beech trees

A mixed-weather day near Kinlochleven – September |

We woke up a bit tired from the excitement on Aonach Dubh the previous day, and the forecast wasn’t great, so we decided on another easy walk from Kinlochleven, going by the Mamores Lodge and on a little bit of the West Highland Way. We got very much rained on at one point, but started drying out by the time we were back down. We saw a few more mushrooms.

A yellow Amanita

A yellow (orange!) Amanita? Looked like a fly agaric without the white bits. It also reminded me of cheesecake with a fruity jelly on top. Maybe I was getting hungry
