After walking near Glencoe village (see previous post, “A low-level Glencoe walk with lots of fungi”), the weather was holding up, so we decided to do another walk. We started a bit later, mid-afternoon, so we ended up rushing a little bit at the end though we had plenty of daylight left. The Dam is quite big, and though we took the easiest, quickest route, it still took a full 10 minutes of brisk walking to get across. I’ve included a photo on the graves of the navvies who died building the dam in 1905-1909.
