Devil's bit scabious

A rainy and windy day in Flowerdale, near Gairloch, Wester Ross – August

Another poor forecast, so we decided to try to get some practice scrambling with rope protection. As we got to the area of An Groban, the rain became quite heavy, so we tried to take what shelter we could find, against a slightly overhanging rock. When the rain eventually lightened, we found a spot to practise. In the end, the wind became so strong that we were forced to finish for the day and head back down.
