Many people had had their tents destroyed the previous evening in very strong winds. As the weather forecast was for continuing poor weather, we stayed away from higher ground. We had a brief walk near Rubha (or Rua) Reidh lighthouse near Melvaig, going a bit further along the coast to see the old disused jetty by the slanting rock formations. It was still very windy.

We moved on later to Badrallach near Dundonnell, where we camped overnight. The next day, we finished the day at Achlemvich. The campsite there was still quite quiet, people seemingly driven away by the winds. The following day, it seemed that the weather would be best by the sea, so we explored the rocks in a secluded bay in Achmelvich.

Some good-looking rocks at a bay near Achmelvich. The beaches are of white sand, sheltered, and this particular one was nearly deserted that day!
