A scramble up the north ridge of Tryfan seemed like a nice familiar way to start. We tried to push ourselves in the choice of line we took. I finally persuaded myself to clamber up the Cannon, the well-known rock that juts out half way up the north ridge of Tryfan. It wasn’t actually too scary, though I wasn’t going to stand up on the tip. (That’s not me in the photo.) After having lunch on top of Tryfan, we got some more scrambling practice in by coming back down the north ridge again.
