We had started this walk on a previous trip, and turned back due to deteriorating weather. This time, we did not get rained on until we had descended to the glen and were walking back out to the road.

Crinkle Crags and Bow Fell (unfinished business 1), Lake District, and into the Scottish Highlands – August
We had good weather for this walk/scramble, which helped us keep to our route over the Crinkles and onto Bow Fell. The last time we were here, it rained all day and there was very poor visibility. The next day, we headed off to the Scottish Highlands.

Moel Hebog and Owain Glyndwr’s Cave, Snowdonia – April

The visit to Owain Glyndwr’s cave was a bit of a detour, and it took a bit of finding, as neither the map nor the guidebook were very specific about its location. There is a steep scramble to get to the mouth of the cave.
