The forecast for the day was good again, but we had to leave that day. Another cold morning, with frost on the windscreen, but beautifully clear. What a difference compared to our wet trips last year!

Arriving in Wasdale, Lake District – April
The day after our walk in Kentmere, we left our friends’ house and drove over to Abbot Hall Art Gallery to see the Lynn Chadwick sculpture exhibition. Having enjoyed this, we drove away from Kendal over to the south-west side of the Lake District to Wasdale, one of the most remote valleys in the area.…
