Many people had had their tents destroyed the previous evening in very strong winds. As the weather forecast was for continuing poor weather, we stayed away from higher ground.

A rainy and windy day in Flowerdale, near Gairloch, Wester Ross – August
Another poor forecast, so we decided to try to get some practice scrambling with rope protection. As we got to the area of An Groban, the rain became quite heavy, so we tried to take what shelter we could find, against a slightly overhanging rock.

Unfinished business 3 – Beinn an Eòin, Torridon, Wester Ross – August
This was our second attempt at going up Beinn an Eòin. On the previous occasion we had turned back due to deteriorating weather conditions. This time the clearer weather held, and we had good views all around.
